We are looking for a Yard Assistant for our expanding Builders Merchants in Bognor Regis.

Gardner & Scardifield is a local family owned Builders Merchants, Electrical Wholesalers and DIY Suppliers based in Lancing, but operating throughout Sussex. We have a long and fascinating history of circa 100 years, and have been under current ownership since the 1970’s.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the organisation of the yard and deliveries, keeping the yard in good condition
• Showcase stock knowledge and an enthusiasm to help the customer
• Support stock management of the branch, ensuring proper procedures are followed
• Excellent customer service skills
• Merchandising of stock throughout the branch
• Help other drivers with their deliveries, loading and unloading stock

Qualifications and Skills

• An enthusiasm for teamwork, to work hard and learn is essential.
• Drivers licence is required
• Forklift licence is beneficial
