Yesterday we wished a happy retirement to Andy Wakeling, a legend of the Ironmongery industry, on his last day at Gardner and Scardifield.
Having spent over 40 years in the Ironmongery industry, his knowledge is pretty unparalleled - anything Andy doesn’t know about door handles, locks and hinges probably isn’t worth knowing!
In his decade and more working at G&S, he has been a fantastic example of our customer service, always showing real passion and friendliness while going the extra mile to help the customer. In more recent years, he has helped to develop our fantastic new Ironmongery and Door showroom and mentored Alanya, who has developed amazingly with his guidance and will be able to continue to provide the same great service.
We, along with our suppliers and customers, will very much miss him and wish him a very happy retirement!
